Comparison of Japan and South Korea's Systems for Regulation of Real World Data Distribution.

This study legally compared the personal information protection systems between Japan and South Korea that must be observed when providing Real-World Data obtained at medical institutions to third parties. It was clarified that Japan does not have a system to link pseudonymized data with each other, and Korea does not have a system for DB operators to collect medical data from medical institutions on a large scale. For both countries, understanding the operation of each other's systems will lead to improvements in their own systems.
