The present study aims to qualitatively study the perceptions of AB-English students about Codeswitching being a medium of instruction during their English online class. The current study investigated the perceptions of AB-English students towards code-switching. In this study, selected AB-English students from a tertiary school of Zamboanga del Sur participated. Triangulation of data had been applied in this study to make sure results are well supported. The researcher administered Interview Guide Questions to the selected AB-English students and teacher as a second source of data. The case studies model of Merriam was utilized in analyzing the qualitative data, which revealed two themes for the perceptions of students towards codeswitching, namely: Communication Strategy; and Learning Strategy. For the students’ perceptions toward their teacher’s usage of code-switching; Teaching Strategy. Based on the outcome of the study the researcher recommends that students should have the knowledge on how and when code-switching should be practiced as a medium of instruction as well as communication strategy. Teachers are recommended to Identify if the use of code-switching is still beneficial. School administrators are encouraged to improve programs and interventions regarding the use of code-switching in order to maximize learning.
