This research paper explores the representation of women in Victorian literature, analyzing how female characters reflect the complexities of gender roles and cultural transformations. This paper investigates the literary portrayal of women by prominent authors such as Elizabeth Gaskell, George Eliot, Thomas Hardy, and Charles Dickens. The paper also highlights the important themes such as femininity, marriage, class, morality, and agency.
