The article discusses current issues of communication in undeveloped territories using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Attention is focused on the classification of UAVs and how they can be used in groups, which makes it possible to optimize the communication process in difficult conditions. It describes the working methods of groups of drones, as well as ways of their interaction, ensuring more efficient network construction. The problems associated with power supplies for various types of UAVs are also being investigated, including their comparison in terms of efficiency and reliability. An important part of the article is the analysis of methods of operational deployment of communication systems, which is critical for rapid response in conditions of limited access to traditional communication tools. The article also presents classifications of UAVs and network strategy topologies, which make it possible to understand the possibilities and limitations of modern technologies. Objective – to identify optimal solutions for organizing communications using UAVs in remote and sparsely populated areas. A review and analysis of the methods of deploying a swarm of UAVs was carried out. The classification of UAVs by power sources is presented. Tasks have been set to achieve an urgent goal – the development of a method for the operational deployment of communications using a swarm of UAVs. Reducing the labor costs of operational deployment of communications by implementing the results obtained in the development of software for modeling the deployment of a swarm of UAVs.
