Currently, achieving balanced development of the region is a key goal of state policy. The relevance of this topic lies in the need for a comprehensive approach to assessing the balance of the region. In order to obtain an objective and reliable assessment of the region's balance, it is crucial to correctly identify measurable and accurate indicators of development that reflect all aspects of the region. The purpose of this study is to identify and classify indicators for assessing the balanced development of the region. The article provides an overview of existing approaches to assessing the balance of a region and identifying key indicators and assessment criteria. It proposes a set of indicators that allow for assessing the balance of the economic, environmental, social, and digital systems of the regional economy. The article emphasizes the importance of considering regional specifics when selecting indicators and highlights the impact of digital transformation on regional development indicators. The use of the analytical method allowed us to identify relevant indicators and highlight the assessment indicators of the region's balance. The proposed recommendations can be used to improve the system of monitoring and assessing the balanced development of regions, as well as to develop effective measures to eliminate disproportions and ensure sustainable development of territories.
