The paper considers the relevance and methodological foundations of the formation of digital pedagogical competence of future teachers of Ukrainian language and literature. The legislative and regulatory frameworks that determine the need to develop digital competence in applicants for pedagogical specialities are analysed. The structure of digital pedagogical competence, in particular, the key skills that a modern teacher of Ukrainian language and literature should have, is determined. The effectiveness of project-based learning in the formation of digital competence in the process of professional training of future teachers is substantiated. Conclusions are drawn about the role of project technologies in increasing the readiness of graduates to implement state educational standards and use digital technologies in pedagogical activities.
