The article is devoted to the characteristics of the structural components of the professional competence of the sergeant staff of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The purpose of the article is to determine and characterize the structural components of the professional competence of the sergeant staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. To solve the research tasks, the following research methods were used: generalization, systematization, concretization, systematic analysis of pedagogical, philosophical, psychological scientific and regulatory literature to determine the essence and structure of the professional competence of the sergeant staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Research results. In the process of research, we identified five structural components of the professional competence of the sergeant staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine: value-motivational; cognitive; individual-psychological; activity; reflexive-compensatory. Characterizing the first of them, it was determined that the content of the value-motivational component consists of values (universal, national, army), which serve as the basis of the professional activity of military personnel and are closely related to motivation and professional orientation. The second, cognitive, component of the professional competence of the sergeant staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine assumes the presence of a system of general and military-special knowledge that a sergeant of the modern Armed Forces must possess, as well as the presence of flexibility and critical thinking. The third, individual-psychological component of the professional competence of the sergeant staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine consists of individual physical and individual-mental qualities. A characteristic feature of the activity component of the professional competence of the sergeant staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is the presence of generally recognized professional and special skills, as well as skills that are implemented in the process of various types of professional activity, as well as creative potential, which is also implemented in the process of professional activity. The characteristic features of the reflexive-compensatory component are the ability to reflect and self-reflect, knowledge of self-assessment of one's own potential and opportunities in professional activity, the ability to project one's professional development. Conclusions. Thus, the result of the scientific and theoretical research was the disclosure of the essence and analysis of the structural components of the professional competence of the sergeant staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the process of professional activity.
