Features of State Regulation of Territorial Development and Regional Governance in the Russian Federation

This study offers a comprehensive analysis of state strategies and institutional mechanisms for spatial (territorial) development and management, based on modern theoretical and practical approaches to research. The paper examines the evolution of the state’s role in spatial development and presents approaches to state economic regulation of territorial development at the current stage. The relevance of the study lies in the need to rethink traditional models of territorial management in the context of increasing interregional disparities, emerging new requirements for economic security, and changes in global value chains.
