Digital transformation of medicine is one of the key vectors of development in the 21st century. In 2019, Russia at the legislative level outlined trends in the development of healthcare in the direction of digitalization of medical institutions. This turned out to be a priority of the national project “Healthcare” (2019-2024). One of the federal projects in its structure is “Creation of a unified digital circuit in healthcare based on a unified state information system in the field of healthcare (Uniform State Health Information System).” This is the global trend. Modern information technologies are actively being introduced into outpatient practice, medical cybernetics and information security in the field of medicine are developing, and new tools are appearing for receiving, transmitting, storing and managing data on patients’ conditions. Digital maturity assessments HIMSS EMRAM is an international system that is becoming increasingly widespread throughout the world and, as it turns out, is of great interest for Russian medical institutions. The study of this system may be useful for Russian medical institutions (MI) from the point of view of improving the quality and safety of services, as well as from the economic perspective. Algorithms for calculating risk levels, secure databases of personal data, spreadsheets for bookkeeping and costing of services are all part of the digital system.
