NetwOArk is a European networking consortium funded by the European Cooperation in Science and Technology (COST). Its mission is to foster interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary collaboration to advance research, technological development, and the translation of findings into clinical practice, ultimately improving the quality of life for individuals affected by osteoarthritis (OA) across Europe. NetwOArk focuses on five key thematic areas: primary prevention, diagnostics, treatment, comorbidities, and care management. Recognizing the importance of engaging with diverse stakeholders, NetwOArk actively collaborates with researchers, patients, and industry partners, including biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies. As part of its commitment to fostering integrated care, NetwOArk organized its inaugural European symposium on interprofessional collaboration for OA management, titled “Integrated Care in Osteoarthritis Management: Engaging Research, Industry, and Patients.” Successfully held in Thessaloniki, Greece, on 23–24 September 2024, the symposium brought together representatives from Versus Arthritis (UK), Kolon TissueGene (USA), and Nestlé Health Science (Switzerland). The active involvement of arthritis-focused funding organizations and industry partners is essential for the success and sustainability of this COST Action. NetwOArk warmly invites industry colleagues to join its efforts and contribute to its mission of driving innovation and excellence in OA research and care. Future NetwOArk initiatives will remain open to industry partners who share the consortium's vision of addressing OA through collaborative and strategic approaches.
