Motivation: 31P metabolite signals with different signal-to-noise ratios (SNR) are typically acquired in the same acquisition, imposing different limits on achievable spatial resolution for individual metabolites. This enforces compromises in defined 31P MRSI protocols. Goal(s): Effective measurement time reduction of high-resolution 31P MRSI in vivo. Approach: Implementation of a fitting approach creating metabolite maps at different effective spatial resolutions depending on metabolite SNR. Results: The multi-resolution fitting approach improved the quantification robustness of low-concentrated metabolites in high-resolution 31P MRSI datasets in vivo. Impact: We present a quantification approach improving the quantification robustness of low-concentrated metabolites in high-resolution 31P MRSI datasets, yielding the potential for effective measurement time reduction of 31P MRSI in vivo.
