This paper seeks to examine the complex and evolving landscape of automotive cybersecurity, addressing both the inherent challenges and the emerging opportunities it presents for researchers, manufacturers, and policymakers. This review also explores ethical, regulatory, and standardization aspects, identifying key directions for future research and the development of resilient vehicle systems.
