Abstract Electrodes based on ternary transition metal oxides are being widely considered in supercapacitor applications in recent times because of the availability of more electroactive sites and the occurrence of strong synergistic impact among three distinct metallic ions. In this study, a novel ternary Cr‐Mn‐Zn Oxide (CMZO) is prepared utilizing an inexpensive one‐pot process of hydrothermal method. The innovation of this work is the deliberate integration of three distinct metal ions to provide superior synergistic effects, which improve the charge transfer efficiency and the structural stability, offering an increased specific capacitance and energy density of the electrode material for supercapacitor applications. In the three‐electrode configuration, the electrochemical studies are tested for all the created electrodes, in which a ternary CMZO possesses a high specific capacitance (C SCP1 ) of 1256.33 F/g at 10 mV/s. Furthermore, a coin cell hybrid supercapacitor (CCHSC) device is assembled that delivers 225.92 F/g specific capacitance, 53.02 Wh/kg energy density at 1299.77 W/kg power density in 2 A/g, and 97.7% stability after 5000 cycles. As a result, it is suggested that a ternary metal oxide electrode can be explored as the potential material for highly efficient energy storage technologies in an affordable and ecological way.
