The study of chemistry plays an important role in shaping students' scientific vision of the world around them. Motivation is a determining factor in achieving success in any field of activity. This becomes an important source for the success of the learning process, a challenge for all participants in the educational process. This article examines the role of motivation in achieving successful learning activities in chemistry lessons. The relevance of the topic is due to the need to increase the interest of schoolchildren in studying chemistry. Methods and approaches that promote the formation of sustainable motivation in students are described, including the use of gaming technologies, practical exercises, interdisciplinary connections and modern STEAM methods. In this study, we assessed how a combination of these approaches affected students' motivation to learn chemistry.
