Abstract The author unmasks the current attack on the Forest Service by the Barrett Committee spurred on by certain livestock interests. Their ultimate objectives are revealed, their frontal and flanking attacks disclosed, and the precedents they seek to establish set forth. The writer states why he believes conservationists face their greatest fight since 1910 and urges vigilance to protect those vital policies upon which conservation and ultimately national harmony and well-being rest.
