The article is devoted to the description of the birth and genesis of the scientific and methodological journal “Foreign Languages” over thirty years (1995 – 2025). Three stages of the ontogenesis of this publication are identified: 1995 – 2005, 2006 – 2015, 2016 – 2024. Within each of the stages, the members of the editorial board, editor-in-chief, deputy editor-in-chief, executive secretary and section editors are indicated. The purpose of each of the journal sections is described. The articles authors’ surnames, first names and patronymics, both well-known and newcomers, are given. The original cover and full CONTENTS of the first journal issue are demonstrated, as well as covers and fragments of CONTENTS of the first and last issues of each of the stages. The topics of publications during these years are briefly presented. Examples of the appendix “Library of the journal “Foreign Languages”, which was published from 1996 to 2014 inclusive, are given. Modern requirements for publications in the journal are also outlined.
