The leadership of kyai in managing Islamic boarding schools is essential as an indicator of success in running an institution. They can survive and keep up with the progress of the era and continue to improve their quality in the world of education. This research aims to find out how kyai management creates role models for the discipline of santri and the wider Islamic boarding school community. This researcher used qualitative approach with descriptive method, the researcher collected data using observation, interviews and documentation methods. Thus the results appear showing 1).Main aspects; the kyai's efforts to create role models by starting as a).Uswah b).Making regulations socializing regulations to the entire Islamic boarding school community, c).Evaluation and d).
