The balance between intellectual intelligence and emotional intelligence is predictor of success in the student learning process at school. This research was conducted for find out whether emotional intelligence influences students' learning motivation. The research method uses quantitative quasi-experiment with a one group design pretest and posttest using psychoeducational interventions related to self-management. The population in this study were students from class VII and VIII who came from class specifically for sports at SMP Negeri 2 Sidoarjo with a sample size of 38 people. Collection data was carried out through a Likert scale questionnaire. Hypothesis testing uses techniques paired sample T-Test tested using JASP version 17 tools. Research results shows that emotional intelligence has a significant positive effect on student learning motivation with a significance value in hypothesis testing of 0.023 < 0.05, so it can be concluded that there is an influence of providing psychoeducation increasing student learning motivation.
