Professional construction is the foundation and prerequisite for the development of higher education institutions, and has extremely important significance for the reform and development of universities. The Ministry of Education invests a large amount of funds every year for the construction of majors in universities. How to evaluate the output effectiveness of these investment funds is a problem worth paying attention to. In order to effectively evaluate the effectiveness of college specialty construction and make its evaluation more accurate, based on the traditional Data envelopment analysis model, this paper proposes a three-stage Data envelopment analysis based evaluation model for college specialty construction effectiveness, and takes the data of computer science and technology specialty in the comprehensive evaluation of undergraduate specialty in Jilin Province as an example to analyze the effectiveness of specialty construction.
