This research addresses the study of the use of artificial intelligence, with the objective of analyzing the general perception of teachers in the computer science area of the Saturnio Ríos 2024 Regional Education Center. The aim is to identify the advantages and disadvantages from the teaching perspective in relation to the use of artificial intelligence in teaching, evaluating the level of knowledge and experience of the institution's teachers. The research design has a qualitative, descriptive approach; The data collection technique was the interview instrumented in questionnaire forms applied to a non-random sampling; where the data obtained from the different teachers provided the necessary results. The results indicated that Teachers are familiar with artificial intelligence (AI) and recognize its usefulness in education, highlighting its ability to create effective and personalized educational resources, although its active adoption in the classroom is limited due to lack of specific training. Perceptions about AI in education present advantages such as automation and personalization of learning, but face challenges such as student dependency and privacy concerns, requiring a careful approach to maximize its potential. It was concluded that, appreciating benefits such as personalization of learning and access to advanced resources, although they point out the lack of adequate training as a significant disadvantage. It is suggested that educational institutions encourage a proactive approach in continuing education to help teachers adapt and optimize the use of emerging technologies in teaching.
