The article presents a systematic picture of developments in the architecture of financial institutions in the Russian Far East, buildings of a new type in the historical and cultural landscape of the region at the turn of the 20th century. The surviving treasury, bank and gold-assaying laboratory buildings are examined, and their stylistic and morphological features determined by the specific development of individual cities in the region are revealed.
