The 6 th ICRP is an annual international conference that covers research and development with theme “Rebuilding Built Environment Towards Sustainable Cities and Communities” , which promotes sustainability, especially in the pillars of built environment, sustainable cities, infrastructures, communities, and energy consumption. The conference was held in a hybrid setup from September, 6-7th 2023 in Bandar Lampung, Indonesia. This conference was organized by Institut Teknologi Sumatera in conjunction with co-host unversities such as Syiah Kuala University, Indonesia; Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia; Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Malaysia; and Chulalongkorn University, Thailand. The conference aimed to connect innovative minds from academics, researchers, engineers, architects, planners, policymakers, industry experts and students from diverse disciplines and around the world to a common forum to share and disseminate their latest research, through theoretical analysis or practical studies. These promotes dialogue and exchange of ideas among stakeholders and decision makers. The conferences raised “Rebuilding Built Environment Towards Sustainable Cities and Communities” as a theme to response to the progress of Sustainable Development Goals agenda which promotes sustainability to carve out better future for the built environment. This key issue is to offer communities and cities more resilient solutions to address environmental problems and climate change. Six main topics with two parallel sessions have been arranged to assemble having a meaningful discussion, namely (1) REDEVELOPING Environmental Education Architecture; (2) REFORMING Sustainable Built Design; (3) RETROFITTING Urban Environmental Issues and Policies; (4) REMEDIATING Adaptive Technology; (5) RECONSTRUCTING Urban Diversity, Heritage, and Communities; (6) RETRIEVING INTERIORITY . This conference was achieved progressively more broadly which was include 111 paper full paper submissions with 100 submissions sent for the review and resulted in 74 submissions accepted with acceptance rate of 66.7% through 44 reviewers in total and 2.04 average number of reviewer per paper. A number of institutions provide supports to the conferences especially Ministry of Education Indonesia. To improve the discussion with advance knowledge, this conference has invited the partners as keynote speaker, invited speakers, and moderator to initiate information deeply between scientific and professional communities, from the participated organizers. The papers for this conference have been selected through a meticulous peer review procedure. Every paper underwent evaluation by both international and national peer reviewers, with a mandatory minimum of two reviewers assigned to each entire paper. We acknowledge thankfully our colleagues, committees, and organizers who managed the conference sessions and have provided a significant insight and expertise to assist this conference. We also extend our thanks to the all reviewers for their time and effort in reviewing the submitted papers. The published papers have proceeded the refinement process to accommodate discussion as well as comments from the reviewers. We are also immensely grateful to the Advisory Board and Steering Committee for their valuable insights regarding the supporting of this conference. The previous year has proven in difficulty for us on account of the pandemic. All of the organizers have provided us with renewed optimism and successfully complete this conference. The event is enhanced by the contributions and presentations, which create an engaging platform for learning, conversation, and idea exchange. Additionally, the event provides an opportunity for speakers and authors to meet and interact with individuals from many nations.
