The use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Christian religious education offers the potential for personalization of learning and efficiency of teaching but also poses ethical challenges and the risk of reducing the role of humans. This study aims to answer four research questions: how does the use of AI affect learning outcomes and student experiences? To what extent does AI help personalize learning? What are the ethical challenges related to the use of AI, and how can they be overcome? What are the attitudes of teachers and students towards AI in Christian religious education? The research used a desk study by analyzing relevant literature sources. The results show that AI supports personalization of learning, provides quick feedback, and provides interactive content. However, ethical challenges such as algorithm bias and human role reduction must be addressed. Research implications include suggestions for future practices, such as AI policy development, teacher training, and continued research on AI in Christian religious education.
