In the context of the development of the modern cognitive and discourse linguistic paradigm, the focus is on conducting an analytical study of the discursive features of the subject. The aim of the research is to determine the specifics of the self-presentation of the author of a poetic text in the context of communicative planning. This article analyzes the work of V. V. Mayakovsky in terms of one of the communicative strategies of poetic discourse – self-presentation. The tactics, strategies and linguistic means of representing the author’s linguistic personality are considered. The scientific novelty of the work lies in the fact that in the course of the scientific research, the communicative strategies and tactics of self-presentation used by the author in poetic texts were systematized and described for the first time. It was revealed that to achieve the goals of self-presentation, the author relies on a complex of social and psychological techniques aimed at influencing the addressee. As a result of studying various factors of V. V. Mayakovsky’s self-presentation, the toolkit used by the poet to build communication with the reading audience and represent personal identity is revealed. This work focuses on the study of aspects of communicative planning carried out in the context of literary creativity, the purpose of which is the author’s formation of self-presentation strategies and tactics in the structure of a poetic text.
