Modern wind turbines and battery electric vehicles have bearings in close proximity to electrical generators, motors, and inverters. These systems have motivated new research focused on damage mechanisms associated with low- and high-level electric currents in rolling element bearings. This work presents a study on the influence of applied electric current and lubricant selection on bearing surface damage.
