This study analyzes the characteristics of greenhouse gas distribution and policy implications of building use by applying GIS (Geographic Information System) spatial statistical analysis to Anyang-si. A spatial statistical analysis of carbon emissions from land use in 2012 and 2022 is conducted to analyze carbon reduction in the building sector. The direction of the carbon reduction policy for the building sector is identified. The cluster outlier (LISA) and hot spot analyses indicate that the spatial distribution according to the total amount and the spatial distribution according to building use differ significantly. Policy directions based on the spatial distribution of greenhouse gas emissions by land use are as follows. First, a spatial customization strategy is required based on land-use analysis. Secondly, it is necessary to establish a spatial plan that reflects the characteristics of greenhouse gas emissions from building use.
