Purpose. To identify and to describe the structural elements of the pedagogical concept of «pedagogical activity», to formulate the author›s definition. Methodology: dialectical method, method of analysis and synthesis, logical. Conclusion. «Pedagogical activity» as a category of pedagogical science is defined through the specifics of its structural components (goal, subject, person composition), essential basis, professionalism (embodied in awareness, purposefulness and systematic activity). Definitive content is characterized by subjectivity, a low degree of concretization, transparency of boundaries, and a large volume of the concept. Under pedagogical activity as a category of pedagogy, it is proposed to understand the professional activity of the teaching subject of the pedagogical process, aimed at organizing, coordinating and implementing social interaction with the student in order to internalize in his mind the content of education which is transmitted using educational means directly or indirectly, for further processing, using, reproduction, as well as self-generation of views, positions, knowledge, skills and abilities. Scientific and practical significance. The author›s conclusions can be used for the purposes of lawmaking, as well as for further scientific pedagogical and legal research.
