Museums are the basis for linking a community's cultural environment with its inhabitants' participation, covering the extended community cultural chain centred on the community, and are fundamental to improving the cultural environment of a community and enhancing the participation of its inhabitants in its cultural development. The museum's natural public nature and independence also create an independent basis for its ability to improve the community's cultural environment. Based on the construction of a public identity for local residents, it makes it possible for residents to participate in shaping the commonality of local history and culture, thus deepening the sustainability of the community's cultural environment. The cultural environment can also act as a system of sustainable evolution influenced by the stabilising factors of the community, influenced by regional cultural values, community climate and resident participation. Through the post-COVID-19 era, the epidemic has deepened community residents' reliance on museums, and the proximity of museums to communities helps to awaken residents' memories of history and cultural identity, thus contributing to an effective cycle of community cultural environments. By participating in a survey related to communities and museums in China (2018-2022), and by visiting relevant exhibitions in China's non-state museums and communities in the field to argue the theories related to the thesis, this study aims to address the issue that museums can improve the cultural environment of communities and enable community residents to participate in and self-adapt to the development of community culture, thus coordinating well with the continuation and renewal of local social cultureThe thesis is based on the thesis of the museum as a whole.
