This paper presents reflections on the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and how it can transform the daily lives of subjects and influence the teaching and learning process. Having as a general objective to reflect on the use of AI in the formation of teachers' digital competences, we recall important international references and point to Brazilian projects that are committed to the construction of references closer to the national reality. In a qualitative approach supported by bibliographical research, in addition to the authors' perception, we conclude that Artificial Intelligence can enhance education and, in this sense, we highlight the personalization of learning, which makes it more inclusive by serving different subjects with different Cultural Capitals, but we still have a long way to go so that education and its actors can take advantage of the potential of AI in an ethical and effective way.
