This study examines the notable advancements in Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) obstacle avoidance technology, with an emphasis on the combination of technologies including Global Positioning System (GPS), Light Detection and Ranging (LIDAR), infrared, digital image processing, and infrared. Effective obstacle avoidance systems are becoming more and more necessary as UAV applications grow in order to provide safe navigation across complex settings. This study's synthesis of the body of literature and technical frameworks highlights the ways in which different technologies work together to improve UAV navigational skills. The results highlight the wider significance of obstacle avoidance developments for the smooth integration of UAVs into a range of operational situations, not only addressing present issues but also providing insights into future opportunities.
