In term of building planning, design, and management, energy efficient is one of important aspects to be considered. Energy efficient building have a significant impact on its user as well as the environment. Nowadays, energy efficiency needs to be emphasized in architectural design to support environmental sustainability. Simulation methods are currently widely used in the architectural design process to predict building performance in terms of energy efficiency. This study aimed to compare the energy efficient simulation from both EDGE and Sefaira. These two applications have different interfaces and workflows, but both can be used for energy efficiency simulation for architecture. Based on the comparison result, it was found that the two programs are quite equivalent in terms of simulating the level of energy efficiency. However, there are still gaps in the output generated from the simulation, especially in the context of total energy consumption. This is considered to be a result of the different databases from the two applications. In conclusion, these two applications still can be used for building energy simulation which aims to find out the most effective and efficient design.
