This article introduces the results of a study of the Russian mass media representation of Village Prose. The goal of media investigation was to reveal the dynamics of information presence; to classify the themes which are covered widely across the media; to examine the context in which village writers are referred to most often; to analyze the semantic core of a relevant media texts. In terms of methodology, the research was organized in: sociology of mass communications, culturology, linguistics. Based on the quantitative and qualitative analyses of news articles published in mass media in 01.01.2015–01.01.2025, this study has revealed that the number of news articles reporting on Village Prose decreased gradually over the 10-year study period. Thematic analysis reveals that Village Prose-related news articles are generally framed via five main themes; Literary Life, Political History, Prospects for Russian rural areas, Memorable Dates, Spiritual Growth.
