Introduction. In modern conditions of market globalization and increased competition, intangible assets are becoming a determining factor in economic development. Objective indicators of this resource are the relative number of people employed in the field of intellectual labor, as well as the quantitative characteristics of its results. Therefore, intellectual activity is a fairly reliable indicator of the country's scientific and technical potential. Problem Statement. The main tasks of the development of the real sector of the economy of Ukraine are to form a competitive production potential in the domestic and foreign markets, modernization and structural restructuring of production, and the development of science-intensive high-tech industries. Their solution is impossible without effective management of the intangible assets of a business entity, which play an important role in shaping the consumer properties of goods and services. The purpose is to determine ways to improve the system of regulation of intangible assets in Ukraine Results. It is analyzed that the development of the national system of regulation of intangible assets rights will occur in conditions of increasing the influence of multilateral agreements of the TRIPS Agreement, which necessitates the implementation of a set of measures at the legislative and regulatory, institutional and business levels. Conclusions. It is shown that in order to increase the competitiveness of the domestic economy, it is necessary to create a long-term strategy of innovative development, which should be closely related to the state policy in the field of intangible assets and manage the processes of commercialization of the results of intellectual activity, integrated with modern means of informatization.
