This paper explores the transformation of teacher training programmes through the adoption of hybrid learning models, combining traditional face-to-face instruction with online learning to meet the evolving demands of modern education. It identifies and addresses key challenges faced by trainers and trainees in online technical teacher training programmes, such as technological barriers, time management issues, and heterogeneous backgrounds. Through a quantitative study and literature review, the paper proposes solutions like enhancing digital literacy, flexible scheduling, and hybrid modes of learning. It also highlights various initiatives in India aimed at improving faculty expertise and the positive impact of these programmes particularly, post pandemic.
