This case report presents a patient with bilateral complete cleft lip and palate with a severely deviated and rotated premaxilla. The infant was treated with a combination of lip taping and presurgical lip, alveolus, and nose approximation (PLANA) therapy for 3 months before primary lip and nose repair. Derotation and centering of the premaxilla was accomplished using a “Lasso” elastic band system, facilitating PLANA therapy. This treatment protocol promoted an esthetic lip and nose repair, while minimizing soft tissue tension and avoiding a surgical premaxillary setback.
