The aim of this review is to thoroughly investigate the effects and impacts that male and female sex hormones have on Dendritic Cell (DC) development, maturation, and efficacy. This aims to bring together and summarise all current knowledge on the topic and highlight the importance of these hormones on human health, particularly in the DC vaccine development space.
