Abstract Objectives: For assessing nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medications, with and without serratiopeptidase and curcumin, in reducing postendodontic pain using the Visual Analog Scale (VAS). Materials and Methods: Ninety patients with carious or traumatized teeth that needed endodontic treatment for acute irreversible pulpitis were enrolled in this prospective clinical study. Every patient was split into three groups at random, and VAS was used to measure postendodontic pain before and after endodontic treatment at 48 and 96 h. Results: When compared to aceclofenac with and without serratiopeptidase, patients receiving curcumin with piperine at days 2 and 4, rank tests were used to compare pre- and post-VAS scores, and the results were statistically significant ( P < 0.05). Conclusion: Based on this study, curcumin and piperine are equally effective as aceclofenac with and without serratopeptidase, and they have fewer adverse effects. As a result, they may be a viable alternative treatment option for patients experiencing postendodontic pain.
