Abstract

It is shown how the elemental composition of the Earth's crust changed compared to the elemental composition of interstellar matter. Specific low-temperature reactions are presented in which nucleon redistribution occurs between two identical nuclides located nearby. These reactions may also be responsible for the formation of heavy elements in the Earth's crust and in the interstellar matter of the solar system.
