This research aims to evaluate the feasibility and impact of a same-day simulation-paired procedure clinic for internal medicine residents.
Implemented a same-day simulation-paired procedure clinic within existing clinical settings.
Collected resident feedback on learning and engagement during procedures.
Evaluated procedural opportunities provided in the clinic.
Increased opportunities for residents to perform procedures on the same day of simulation.
High levels of cognitive engagement reported by residents during the clinic.
Abstract
A same-day SPPC was feasible within existing clinical infrastructure, and was associated with increased procedural opportunities and high resident-reported learning-focused cognitive engagement.
