Predicted vs. measured residual astigmatism for 113 eyes adapted to corneal contact lenses was analyzed on the basis of corneal toricity. For all types of corneal toricity, measured was less than predicted astigmatism by small amounts. Only for with‐the‐rule corneas of 0.75 D or more toricity did the measured differ from predicted residual astigmatism by as much as 0.25 D.
