Introduction: Red cell genotyping is increasingly used to predict blood group phenotypes when serological phenotyping is unreliable. Occasionally, allele frequencies deviate from expected patterns, complicating interpretation. Here we describe a case of allelic imbalance due to mixed chimerism following allogeneic transplantation.
