In order to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050, it is important to utilize renewable energy and unused energy in district heating and cooling system (DHC). We can obtain a certain amount of garbage wherever humans exit, so garbage is suitable to utilize in DHC. In this study, for the purpose of installing biogasification devices in DHC, we conducted a survey about renewable energy used there. Then we grasped the current situation of DHC and pointed out problems of garbage biogasification. Furthermore, we estimated the amount of electricity and heat generated by biogasification devices in DHC in 23 wards of Tokyo.
