This study aims to clarify the characteristics and operations of Multifunctional Small-Scale Nursing Facilities in hilly and mountainous areas, focusing on complex facility types and user service utilization. Case study facilities were selected based on these utilization characteristics. Objectives are: (1) To identify complex facility types, service provision, and user traits including service patterns and time to reach the facility. (2) To examine operational practices and residential distribution of users. (3) To analyze spatial configurations and usage, including integration with complex facilities.
