Afrofuturism is a contemporary cultural movement that explores African diasporic futures through speculative and imaginative means. In Senegal, this field of research intersects with broader conversations about African Studies. The study employs a theoretical exploration of existing literature on Afrofuturism and African futures studies. No empirical data collection or analysis is conducted for this paper. A central theme emerging from the literature review is the tension between traditional Senegalese values and modern global influences, particularly in urban settings where youth are at the forefront of cultural change. Theoretical insights suggest that Afrofuturism can serve as a valuable framework for understanding complex societal shifts in Senegal but requires further empirical validation to inform policy and practice. Future research should incorporate qualitative data collection methods to test theoretical propositions about Afrofuturism's impact on Senegalese society.
