Agricultural Extension Services (AES) play a critical role in rural development by providing farmers with knowledge and resources to improve their productivity and livelihoods. The scoping review employs a thematic analysis approach to synthesize existing literature from scholarly databases. Key themes include AES content, delivery methods, and farmer feedback. A consistent theme across studies is the need for tailored AES programmes that align with local farming practices and socio-economic conditions, particularly in enhancing soil fertility management techniques and irrigation systems understanding among smallholder farmers. While there are gaps in standardised data collection methods, this review highlights the importance of culturally adapted AES interventions to improve farmer satisfaction and productivity. Investment in research to develop evidence-based AES models tailored to local contexts is recommended. Additionally, continuous engagement with farmers through participatory approaches should be prioritised for effective service delivery. The empirical specification follows Y=₀+^ X+, and inference is reported with uncertainty-aware statistical criteria.
