Abstract

This review paper analyses the global and Indian school dropout phenomenon, highlighting psychological, socio-economic and educational causes contributing to early educational disengagement. Based on analysis of 29 research studies, the paper identifies demographic, family, trauma-related and systemic educational factors influencing dropout behaviour and emphasises technology-based early warning and prevention systems.
