This case study explores maternal empowerment programmes implemented through community health workers in Kenyan rural areas. Community surveys, focus group discussions, and interviews were conducted among mothers and community health workers to gather data on programme implementation and impact. A significant proportion (65%) of respondents reported improvements in prenatal care utilization after participating in the empowerment programmes. Themes included increased knowledge about newborn care and improved communication with healthcare providers. The findings suggest that targeted maternal empowerment initiatives can effectively improve health outcomes in rural communities, particularly when supported by community health workers. Further research should focus on replicating successful models and evaluating long-term sustainability of such programmes. Maternal Empowerment, Community Health Workers, Rural Kenya, Prenatal Care Utilization Treatment effect was estimated with logit (pᵢ) =₀+^ Xᵢ, and uncertainty reported using confidence-interval based inference.
