One of the most useful and recently employed materials in the composite materials is the functional graded materials. These materials have the strength of being added with nanomaterial since they possess unique properties. The influence of Nanoparticles-zinc oxide (ZnONPs) and Nanoparticles-titanium oxide (TiO2NPs) addition to functionally graded polymer-based materials were studied in the present research. Epoxy composite samples were prepared by placing each of the ZnONps and TiO2NPs individually in layers at various concentrations (0.5, 1, 1.5, 2 and 2.5%wt). Mechanical properties of the samples prepared were investigated; hardness, bending and creep resistance. Moreover, the morphological properties of the tested samples were studied using X-ray diffraction (XRD). The finding revealed that there was an increase in the hardness, flexural bending and creep resistance occurred with the increase in concentration of nanomaterials up to 2%, followed by a decrease at 2.5%. The result of morphological property indicated that nanomaterials in epoxy matrix resin are of normal distribution.
