A 4-month-old female child from a remote village in West Bengal presented with an abnormally increasing head circumference since birth. Investigations revealed communicating hydrocephalus, and a ventriculoperitoneal shunt was performed due to financial constraints. The patient showed significant improvement after surgery, with a reduction in head circumference at follow-up. This case highlights the importance of timely diagnosis and treatment of hydrocephalus in infants.
