Fe2O3 nanomaterial thin films were prepared by spray pyrolysis method onto the heated glass substrate at 350ºC. The films were fired at 500ºC. Nanostructured thin films of Fe2O3 are sensitive to change in their environment, The gas sensing performance of pure Fe2O3 and different quantity of spray like 5ml (Sample = S1), 10ml (Sample =S2) and 15ml (Sample =S3). Nanocrystalline Fe2O3 thin films were investigated for gas sensing toward NH3 gases. Sample S3 exhibited the highest sensitivity to NH3 (S = 45), indicating sample-dependent sensing behavior. Overall, the Fe2O3 films demonstrated a stronger sensing response to NH3 due to enhanced gas–surface interactions. The response and recovery time is 30sec, 50sec respectively.
